the set

I have been asked not to post any pictures of the characters or action to the internet.
But they didn't say anything about props...

This is the Props Trolley. They wheel it from the truck to the set so that everything we might need is ready to hand when we need it. All the other departments have them too.

Now, the camera people like to shoot a scene over and over from multiple angles.
Sometimes that means that where everyone had stacked their equipment will suddenly be in the background of the scene that is being shot. Usually this means a madde scrabble every 30 mins or so as we shift gear back and forth and back again. All day.

But here in the Art Department, we aren't silly... This is the above trolley that found it's self in the background of a set that was supposed to be a Nursery.

as opposed to Unit and Electrics who had to hide everything around the corner...

I watched this wasp build her nest up from 1 cell over a week.
I was outside when someone else discovered it.
I then watched for over a half our while several grown men discussed the logistics of whether to get rid of it, then the best way to get rid of it... My asking if anyone had an aerosol can were ignored.

Oh the dramas!
