working 60 hour plus weeks in the city for a few weeks. I
get paid to watch people walk in and out of a building, and help them
whenever possible. coffee spotto: dorchester cafe in phillip lane. ask jackie or kathy to whip you up something special. really takes the pain away on those long shifts. had to do crowd control and a bit of body guarding at a Nikki Webster shopping centre appearance last weekend. thanks to all the teachers and parents who made my job easier. and thanks to the rover who kicked right royally the asses of the three guys that were spitting on me from the top level. |

moved. now house
sitting in eastwood. which is good, its a midpoint between my mum & my da,
and only 20 min from my sister's strawberry farm! yum! my time in canberra was well spent. food, friends and coffee, in copious amounts! started roleplaying again... having lots of fun playing a 16yo girl masquerading as a manservant (and even his master on occasion.) in a 7th Seas campaign in marrickville. |

busy times! been staying at me dad's place the last week
or so. it's hard to go back there now as everyone's moved on. i have no
friends here. it's too far to get to anywhere i wanna be. i'm tired. and i
hate driving around sydney for hours trying to get home. helped out the prop makers for conclave last week. had much fun making props... spraypaint is fun! |

having a bad week. seem to be
hurting myself alot. cuts, bruises, blood blisters, sprains and strains... got a great gig in a local club. i get to be licensed door bitch until 2am, then i go down to the dancefloor till close. it's great, i get to stand there and chat to people all night. almost as much fun as sitting at home and msgr chatting to everyone! |

not much news people... havent been doing much. sitting at home, watching southpark. ep where cartman blew his funny fuse. will go to work in an hour or so... great venue. i'm really enjoying it. went to arizonas for dinner tonight... now i'm full of ribs. yumm. |

went to orange last
week. that was fun. spent the entire time eating. good food. great company. then i got home from work saturday to find a hazel in the loungeroom! imagine my surprise... she's up for a few weeks, which is fun. so tired. not working much so i don't understand it. hmm, sick of updating, might go frolic in the sunshine. i love spring! |

still under light workload, looking forward to unpacking
my stuff and sorting out my room, getting it into summer mode. tried cherry coke today. <shrug> still tastes like coke to me... i dunno what all the fuss is. finally caved to the temptation and spent last night creating a character for a 7th seas campaign. looking forward to that alot more than i thought i would. waterworks outside the unit mean that I'm awoken by workmen at 7.30am. not impressed by the jackhammers outside my gate all day when im trying to sleep. oh! - and I was number 62 on Maddox's Ikaruga page last night! |

had fun yesterday, went shopping for some gear, a trip
inspired by renai's spectacular misadventure, and came away with a very nice
pair of pants with padded hips and knee protectors. had a nasty headache today, so i spent most of it in the dark. hobbit came over for a bit to kill some time, and was very amused at having to stumble around in the gloom. i am stitching up my latest needlepoint projects for framing. i will post piccies in the next few weeks. if you are interested, let me know, and we'll work out a price. |

been working hard... had a light week last week, so
headed down to canberra. was good to sit back and chill in alot of my old
haunts. caught up with alot of people, and even squeezed in a ski trip. took
the boi with me, and he pulled a stunner by learning to ski in 2 hours. took
him up the back country in the afternoon, got caught in a blizzard, and
bailed back to perisher down copperhead rd. enjoying work, but i can't tell you too much there. msn6 started corrupting my poota, so it's uninstalled for the moment. sms is the best way to get in contact with me, im only online intermittantly atm, cos im hardly at home. |

i had a day off today. i can't remember the last time I
did. the last 3 weeks have been a blur, but i will appreciate my pay packet
when it comes in next week. been working at an rsl club this week. looks like it will be a regular thing. which is good... it's a great venue, and the people there are great. also it's wonderful to be on nightshift again. nothing much else has been happening. my life has pretty much been about work for the last month... but i got days off for the next week at least, so give me a call if you want to do something... |

started at another
venue last week. i'm currently sitting on the front desk of an office block
in the city watching all the bleary-eyed office workers file past. renai is fine. she will be in hospital for a few more weeks yet, her leg needs to heal a bit more before they can give her the skin grafts. if you want to email me get well wishes, i will print them & take them along the next time i visit. i finally finished the cheetah counted cross stitch on the weekend. it's been an ongoing project since 1998, and it's lived through alot. my interstate translocations, my fire, and has been a great between-project friend. |

started a new job last
week. I get paid to walk around sydney harbour and make sure people are
doing what they should. other recent jobs included an under 18s dance party, that was very interesting. met alot of very cool people, hello to them! went to canberra on saturday. it's still there... had a great time being an intimidating russian. thanks guys! loving being able to drive again, having fun letting dorothy loose on learners. i have no voice atm, not a sick thing, just my vocal chords swollen up. sms is safest for a little while, i will answer my phone, but i won't be able to talk for long before it becomes inaudible. |

got dorothy back. i like having my own transport... i found out that canberra is still there... will take a road trip soonly to grab stuff, & play catchups... enjoying catching up with peoples here in syd. working weird hours means time in the afternoon to go visiting. having fun playing with the crystal shop. they take .pmf files and turn them into glass masterpieces. makes a nice change from craft shops, almost finished my tiger, need to find another project. |

to see movies, too busy to talk. working stupid hours, and the time that i have off i spend sleeping, or with boyfriend. i have messages on my answering machine that i'm too tired to return, and sms's that i've been meaning to reply to for days... just gimme a few weeks to get into the swing, and i'll see how i'm coping... |

had a busy weekend. passed my pre-learners course. haven't been that tired and terrified in a looong time! basically killing time now until my license to come through and really looking forward to starting work. it's been a long time since there has been this much excitement in my life. |

been up at cowan for awhile... had fun. caught up with kramer, an old
flatmate of mine, took jason down to see the waterhole, watched fire vids,
did more tapestry, and had a generally fun time... drove my sister's car for a bit. so fun... i hadn't driven a manual in ages, it was good to be driving again. i miss it lots, i really miss my car. it's starting to have a bigger impact on my now that i want to get myself places, i have been in alot of situations the last few weeks that would have been much easier if i had dorothy. |

got my poota back. my battery is cactus, and was shorting intermittently. that fried both my harddrive, and my spare. the data on there is irretrievable. ive lost all my old site, and all my episodes of zim. im happy to have everything up and running tho. other news is that i'm coping with being at home again, i will post more about my adventures soon. |
| news from the last few weeks |
OK, in no particular order... Computer: my computer is now fixed. I started getting random hardware faults out of it, then my hard drive died. Efforts to try install any OS on my spare hard drive gave me more random hardware errors, I even managed to get the retro IBM insert system disk graphic at one point. <amused>. Anyways, me being still intimidated by notebook hardware, sent it off to someone with more than a smidgen of a clue, and he has given me another Hdd. Website: I was in the process of merging both my websites when my Hdd died... so things will be a little slower getting together than I thought. I'm actually not that upset that it's gone, I wasn't looking forward to going through fixing links, and trying to adapt it to my new look. Job: I did a course in April, and I got a job through one of the guys there, I am just waiting for all my papers to come through before I can start. Should be by the 20th June. So I'm kicking back and chilling a bit till then. Car: My car is unregistered at the moment. I am getting about on Sydney's wonderful public transport system. It's almost as life threatening as trying to drive on her roads. So far I have been hit in the head by a beer bottle, assaulted by a gang of Lebs, and stranded too many times to count by delayed, cancelled and redirected trains. Canberra: I haven't been to Canberra since January. I don't see a way that I can get back there in the foreseeable future, not for a lack of want, just a lack of a ways and means. Boyfriend: Still together with the boi. Things are going great. I'm still stunned and amazed at how wonderful it all is. I can gush a whole lot more, and if you feel the need to know more details, just lemme know, and we'll chat... I just don't want to inflict piles of TMI on the unwilling unnecessarily. Hobbies: Havent done ceramics in awhile, it's a bit hard to get there without my car. I've been doing alot of other craft though. Needlepoint, Knitting, and crocheting. Making scarves and bags to sell at markets at the moment. I'll take orders, lemme know if you have any special requests. Retail Therapy: I bought new boots for work. They are really cool. They have green laces. I love them so much. See... See... |

I just found
out I’m not working tonight… now I’m at a loss as to what to do. I am used to
having lots of deadlines… I am at a loss for the first time in a couple of
months. Hmm, I think I might organise my room a bit. I am sooo sick of bloody office XP, it is stuffing up my site, and it keeps changing my work. I need to find me a copy of office 97… February’s Challenge will be about how you feel about your job. So start thinking, and get ready to get me something… |
