fish muffins


You will need...

ingredients

- A bag of breakfast muffins. (Plain, grainy or wholemeal is good. Make sure you don't get fruit in them, that would just taste wrong...)

- A box of crumbed frozen fish of some description. (I use the Birdseye lemon crumbed fish fillets, but Fish Fingers go nicely too)

- Butter, mayo, mustard, lemon, tartare sauce, etc... to taste

- Salad of some description. (Yes, I know that you shouldn't make friends with salad, but adding lettuce or a little grated carrot makes you look sophisticated... really... To quote a very good friend of mine... "Mmmm - impress the chicks you will"...)

- microwave

- toaster

- butterknife (don't stick in toaster)
 

 

 
OK, now cometh the multitasking bit... ready?
grab fish from freezer. (1 fillet per muffin, or 3 fingers)
Put in microwave on a paper towel and zap it on high for a minute.
Grab a muffin, split it in half, and pop it in the toaster.
When Microwave goeth "Beep", turn over the fish, and nuke for another minute.
When toaster goeth "Pop", grab muffins, muttering "Ow! Hot! Ow! Hot!" under your breath while you transfer them to a benchtop.
Cover insides of muffin with condiments of your choice.
When Microwave makes it's utterances again, check to see that fish is no longer frozen, and is at a comfortable consumable temperature before plopping it onto one half of fore mentioned muffin. (It might be a good idea to do this with a bodypart that can be easily held under running cold water for 10 min in case you've supernuked your fish).
Add salad on top... ignore the snide comments of your flatmates, they will all get bowel cancer anyways... Hella, tell them this, I assure you, it will make you a popular person when they too find a better kind of normal.
So yeah, slap the other half of the muffin on top, and eat it like a hamburger, knees apart so all the condiments slop onto the floor. Hehe - make THEM clean it up...
 
And there you have it...
